The Next Level

I choose St Francis Preparatory High School, first and foremost because of its great academic standards. It has an awesome reputation of being a great academic school. The students that graduate from SFP are really prepared to do well in college. I am looking forward to be challenged, not only on the court but also in the classroom. I am also looking forward to playing with many of my iExcel teammates at SFP. I think we are going to be very good. Coach Keri is an excellent coach who I feel will push me and get me prepared to play at the highest level.

Travel Club Experience

Coach Walter Welsh has taught me so much in the last three years that I have played for iExcel. He is a great teacher of the game. He has taught me the importance of being a student of the game. He constantly challenges me in practice, letting me know the things I need to work on to continue to develop. He is very hard on me at times because he expects a lot and knows what it takes to play at the next level. Welch has coached many high major division I and WNBA players through the years. He has been a successful coach and developer of talent for thirty plus years. I love playing for him because even though he is tough on me, I know he is getting me better and will help me achieve my goal, which is to be the best in the country.

Athletic Bloodlines

Brother, Raven Owen played at St Joseph Metuchin H.S. , New Jersey alongside NBA player Karl Anthony-Towns. Then went on to play division I basketball at Canisius College. Anthonie Owen played junior college basketball at Ulster County, where he lead the league with 11 assists per game. He then played at St Bonaventure University. Finally, Dad, Raven Owen was a standout player at the famous St Raymonds H.S. in the Bronx, N.Y., and was a college basketball player at an NAIA school.
