Andra Espinoza-Hunter a 6-foot-1 guard from New York has just recently transferred from Ossining high school in westchester county New York to Blair Academy in New Jersey for her freshman year.Last season Espinoza-Hunter played as an eight grader alongside UConn commit Saniya Chong at the prestigious Nike TOC Event in Phoneix,Arizona.Now at Blair Academy a college preparatory high school with concrete academics and a great girls basketball program in place Espinoza-Hunter will play with and compete against a higher caliber of competition than her previous high school. As lucky as it gets to be a promising young prospect Espinoza-Hunter will get a chance to play with another UConn commit in Senior 5-foot-9 guard Sadie Edwards. Espinoza-Hunter has just recently made another power move by joining the Philly Belles travel club program and will play along side fellow class of 2017 high school freshmen: Danielle Patterson 6-3;Jaala Henry 6-3;Claire Moloney 6-2 and Sydney Lowery 5-9.

Life Center Academy-NJ will not be able to participate in this years Nike TOC Event because the school is not a apart of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association which has 425 members in the state of New Jersey.Life Center Academy is a K-12 high school not a post grad school.They are a member of the Penn-Jersey Athletic Association a private high athletic association.

Aaliyah Jones 5-foot-7 senior guard and last seasons player of the year at Bishop Ford-NY will transfer to public school power Murray Bergtraum-NY.Jones has a chance to win a Public School Athletic League championship this season at Murray Bergtraum and has already won the New York State Federation Title with Bishop Ford last season.

Chania Ray 5-9 senior and Florida state commit was outstanding in Brooklyn,NY this weekend scoring 24-pts against Life Center-NJ and 21-pts vs D1 Bound in a great overtime game.Ray showed she is a very consistent shooter and scorer with improved effort on the defensive end.

Chole Jackson 5-9 senior scored 30 pts against D1 Bound.The North Carolina State commit used delayed break drives,step-back jumpers and 3-pointers to fill it up in Brooklyn.

Chastity Taylor scored 24-pts in a win against Life Center Academy-NJ however the best player on the court for St Anthony’s was 5-4 senior PG Tyla Parham. She controlled the game with outstanding leadership and great decision making.Parham found Taylor for numerous scoring opportunities to finish the game with 8 assists.Parham is a division one player.

Duke bound Sierra Calhoun 6-1 SR scored 28-pts in an overtime win for D1 bound over Riverdale Baptist-MD

IsIs Young the 5-foot-7 senior committed to Florida played well for Life Center-NJ with 15-pts in a win over Riverdale Baptist-MD.

Lena Niang 6-2 JR played well for Riverdale Baptist-MD.Niang has great length,size and footwork if she can work on her hands and finishing she will be a BCS conference recruit.

Seventh year head coach Joanne P McCallie needs to win a national championship to solidify herself as a top tier coach. Expect big things from Freshman player Oderah Chidom, at 6-foot-4 she has developed into a legitimate wing-forward. The Lady Blue Devils will play at California November 10th;UConn December 17th in Durham,NC in the Jimmy V Classic and December 22nd at Kentucky.

The UConn staff will be conducting home visits with Naphessa Collier 6-2 2015 SEPT-16TH;UConn is also recruiting Kia Nurse a 6-foot 2014 guard from Canada.

UConn is no longer recruiting Kathryn Westbeld 6-2 2014 from Ohio and Taylor Rooks 5-11 2014 from New Jersey.
